On 15 February 2025, the team had an opportunity to meet in a more relaxed and informal setting during a curling lesson at one of Warsaw\u2019s ice rinks. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, we learned the basics of curling. This sport combines precision, teamwork, and strategy, and its far more challenging in practice than it appears on television.
After a short introduction and some warm\u2011up exercises, we played a match. The main strategy for each team was to get the stone as close as possible to the centre of the target circle, known as the \u201chouse.\u201d As we quickly discovered, controlling the stone\u2019s speed and direction requires focus and coordination so more advanced strategies have to wait till we get a grasp of this basic one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
