The conference was held in \u0141och\u00f3w, Poland, between the 3rd and 7th of November 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from the standard scientific presentations, the conference was rich in tutorial lectures, which were a chance to get a better overview on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lipid membranes, SAM and gold nanoclusters in electrochemistry by Prof. Bilewicz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bipolar electrochemistry presented by Prof. Kuhn, which started with a quote that also nicely fitted Emilia\u2019s presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aptamer sensors by Prof. Ferapontova<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Molecularly Imprinted Polymers by Prof. Haupt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peptide monolayers by Prof. S\u0119k<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sensorarrays.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-5.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"945\" height=\"445\" src=\"https:\/\/sensorarrays.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-535\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sensorarrays.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-5.png 945w, https:\/\/sensorarrays.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-5-300x141.png 300w, https:\/\/sensorarrays.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-5-768x362.png 768w, https:\/\/sensorarrays.com.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-5-850x400.png 850w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 945px) 100vw, 945px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof <a href=\"http:\/\/cisgroup.kaist.ac.kr\/\">Insung Choi<\/a> gave an exciting lecture, in which he showed how he went from ideas doodled on a napkin to creating a new research topic on encapsulating cells (cells in shells, artificial spores, cyborg cells, supra cells). The cell coatings can be active or static, tune activity of the cell and even make it move towards some stimulus.
