On the 15th<\/sup> of December, we met in a Musketeers-themed Escape Room (which we Nailed!) for a bit on integration and later went for a round of preXmas board games in a geek-friendly restaurant, Ja\u015b i Ma\u0142gosia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was also a chance to say farewell to Viktorija Reinikovaite<\/a>, an Erasmus PhD student working in our institute with Marcin Filipiak. As Marcin unofficially moved to join the Sensor Arrays group, so did Viktorija. During group meetings, we had a chance to learn about her work with dopamine-covered yeast cells for energy applications that she developes during her PhD in Lithuania and her new work with Marcin on conductive GelMa composites that will serve as active scaffolds for muscle cell cultures. Viktorija first came to IPC PAS during the very first eSPARK summer school<\/a> and decided to apply for Erasmus with Marcin, which only confirms that we did an excellent job with our practical electrochemistry course \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, Viktorija is leaving for Germany for another research visit. Still, we hope to meet her, if not in future collaborative projects, then on her way between Germany and Lithuania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
