Annual curling championship

Posted on April 27, 2026April 27, 2026 by Admin

On 15 February 2025, the team had an opportunity to meet in a more relaxed and informal setting during a curling lesson at one of Warsaw’s ice rinks. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, we learned the basics of curling. This sport combines precision, teamwork, and strategy, and its far more challenging in practice than it appears on television.
After a short introduction and some warm‑up exercises, we played a match. The main strategy for each team was to get the stone as close as possible to the centre of the target circle, known as the “house.” As we quickly discovered, controlling the stone’s speed and direction requires focus and coordination so more advanced strategies have to wait till we get a grasp of this basic one.

As usual, the event was filled with laughter and positive energy. Thankfully, no one was injured.. The session was organised by the Integracyjny Klub Sportowy “Media Curling Club”.
