Group 12 at annual microsymposium

Posted on April 27, 2026 by Admin

From January 13 to 15, 2025, the Institute of Physical Chemistry (IChF) held its annual reporting Microsymposium, which for the first time welcomed members of the newly established International Advisory Board (IAB). The three-day event provided a comprehensive overview of the Institute’s scientific achievements in 2024. It served as an important forum for direct dialogue among researchers, IChF leadership, and international advisors. Although it is hard to get everyone together after the pandemic, Microsymposium is one of the few events that fills the aula.

Full aula once again for the microsymposium

The Microsymposium opened with an inaugural session led by Director Adam Kubas, who presented IChF’s structure, achievements, and role within the Polish and international research landscape, and formally introduced the IAB members to the Institute’s community. Scientific presentations followed, highlighting key research directions within the three Clusters of Excellence, complemented by lively discussions moderated by the organisers. Our group actively participated in the poster session, presenting two posters and engaging in discussions with colleagues and IAB members.
In addition to scientific presentations, the Microsymposium featured dedicated meetings among the IAB, research group leaders and laboratories, ICTER management, and the Doctoral Student Council. Emilia had the chance to present her views on the strategic priorities, funding projects, and GEP, providing valuable insights for the Advisory Board’s forthcoming recommendations.
