The International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) plays a central role in advancing electrochemical science worldwide by fostering collaboration, supporting early‑career researchers, and promoting excellence across diverse subfields of electrochemistry. The society’s annual meeting brings together thousands of electrochemists.
One of the Society’s key strengths lies in its scientific divisions, which provide focused communities for discussion, networking, and scientific development.
Division 1 – Analytical Electrochemistry is focused on innovations in sample collection and processing, electrochemical separations, and the identification and quantitative determination of chemical species. The division serves as an important platform for exchanging ideas that connect fundamental electrochemistry with real‑world analytical challenges.
We are happy to announce that, following worldwide elections, Emilia was chosen chair-elect and will serve in this role during the 2025-2026 term, becoming chair of the division 2027-2028 and later helping the new chair during the following two years.
For now, Emilia will work alongside Chair Maria Cuartero Botía, Past Chair Guy Denuault, and Vice‑Chairs Guobao Xu and Gabriel Negrao Meloni to continue strengthening the division’s activities, visibility, and impact within the ISE.
